Gilgit — Chairman/Secretary of the Chief Minister’s Inspection Team (CMIT) Gilgit-Baltistan, Mr. Fida Hussain, along with his professional team members — Economist/Planner Sartaj Hussain, Senior Research Officer Imtiaz Ali, and Budget & Accounts Officer Suhail Abbas — visited the sanitary and sewerage system gravity main and treatment plant project being executed under the Gilgit Development Authority (GDA) to review its progress.

During the visit, GDA Director General Izharullah, Chief Engineer GDA Arif Hussain, as well as the consultant and contractor, were present. A detailed briefing was given on the current status of the project, technical aspects, and the measures taken to address public convenience, along with key concerns.

While expressing his views on the project, Chairman CMIT Fida Hussain emphasized that the quality of work must be ensured and directed the concerned authorities to complete the project within the stipulated timeframe so that maximum public benefit can be achieved.

The Chief Minister’s Inspection Team will soon present a comprehensive and detailed report on this matter to the Honorable Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan and the Chief Secretary Gilgit-Baltistan.
