Ghanche — An important Annual Development Program (ADP) review meeting was held in Ghanche regarding ongoing development schemes of the Communication & Works (C&W) and Water & Power (W&P) Departments in Baltistan. The meeting was chaired by Chairman/Secretary of the Chief Minister’s Inspection Team (CMIT) Gilgit-Baltistan, Mr. Fida Hussain.

The meeting was attended by Superintending Engineer Ali Muzaffar, Senior Member Engineer Muhammad Sibtain Akbar, Member Economist/Planner Sartaj Hussain, Executive Engineers of the relevant departments, and other concerned officials.

During the session, a detailed review was conducted of the physical and financial progress of ongoing C&W and W&P projects in District Ghanche, including budget utilization, challenges faced by the departments, and future proposals and recommendations.

Following the meeting, the Chairman and his professional team conducted detailed visits to the 30-bed hospital in Thagas and the Bulogun Power Project to assess on-ground progress.

It is worth mentioning that the Chief Minister’s Inspection Team is actively reviewing Annual Development Program projects across various departments in the Baltistan region, including power, construction, education, health, and local government sectors
